The 9th “Return to the Roots” Journey
In commemoration of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th and to promote the tradition of “Drinking water, remembering the source,” the MB Securities Joint Stock Company (MBS) organized the 9th “Return to the Roots” program to honor and pay tribute to the fallen heroes, youth volunteers, and self-defense militia who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the country.
From June 23 to 26, 2022, the delegation, consisting of 32 members, was led by Mr. Le Thanh Nam – Deputy CEO as the Head of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong – Executive Board Member as the Deputy Head, and notably, Mr. Tran Hai Ha – Former CEO, who participated in visiting and offering incense at the following “red addresses”:
- Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery
- Route 9 Martyrs’ Cemetery
- Quang Tri Citadel
- Bo De High School
- Thach Han River Church
- Dong Loc Junction
The journey was a deeply emotional reminder of the immeasurable losses and the youth left behind on the battlefields for a noble cause. Although the war has passed, the memories and gratitude remain intact – today’s peaceful sky is built upon the blood and bones of many generations of our ancestors.
The trip concluded with profound emotions: gratitude, pride, a sense of responsibility, and, most importantly, a deeper connection among MBSers. From this journey, each member grew to love their homeland even more, cherish life, and be ready to continue writing meaningful chapters with MBS in the future.
