MBS Spreads Love Through the Charity Program “Mid-Autumn Festival – Accompanying Children to School” in Cao Bang
On September 5–6, 2024, the Trade Union of MB Securities (MBS) represented the company in participating in the charity program “Mid-Autumn Festival – Accompanying Children to School” in Quang Trong Commune, Thach An District, Cao Bang Province – a remote and underprivileged area at the northernmost border of Vietnam.
The program was co-organized by MBS, in collaboration with the Internal Security Division – Hanoi Police Department, the Youth Department – Cao Bang Provincial Police, and several organizations and philanthropists across the country. It aimed to inspire students, spread love, and bring a warm Mid-Autumn Festival to children at two particularly disadvantaged schools: Quang Trong Kindergarten and Quang Trong Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.
Quang Trong Commune is located more than 80 kilometers from Thach An’s center, with rugged terrain and difficult transportation. It is home to over 2,000 people from three main ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, and Dao. The commune has a poverty rate of 63.2% and a near-poor rate of 12.5%. Recently, the area was severely affected by a flash flood following Storm No. 2 in July 2024, further worsening the living conditions of local residents.
Representing MBS, Mr. Le Van Tuan – Member of the Executive Board, led a delegation of union members to the schools to deliver:
- Friendly bookcases for both schools
- Mid-Autumn and school supply gift packages for all students
The total value of the donations reached VND 40,000,000. Though modest in material terms, the gifts served as a meaningful source of encouragement, helping spark hope and motivation for the children—especially in the face of harsh weather conditions with Tropical Storm Yagi approaching.
This trip was not merely a charitable activity but also a profound opportunity for MBS employees to deepen their sense of social responsibility and commitment to sharing with less fortunate communities. The warmth of the people, the bright eyes of the children, and heartfelt handshakes left unforgettable memories for the delegation.
The MBS Trade Union extends its sincere thanks to all union members who contributed and helped spread compassion, making the program a success.
Looking ahead, the MBS Leadership and Trade Union remain committed to supporting community-driven initiatives, joining hands to bring about positive and sustainable change—especially for disadvantaged children in remote mountainous areas.
